Twice a year we take buyers to Guangzhou, then on to the factories of Foshan, Dongguan, Shenzhen and Yiwu. Visa, hotels, meals, interpreters and factory meetings, all arranged.
Per person, twin share. Single rooms and a second phase cost extra.
The five cities
What each city is for.
The fair
Guangzhou
The Canton Fair halls at Pazhou, plus the wholesale districts: Shahe for clothing, Yide Road for toys and stationery, Xiaobei for halal food and traders from Africa and the Gulf.
Furniture, ceramics, appliances
Foshan
45 to 60 minutes from Guangzhou: Lecong's furniture markets, ceramics and building-material makers, and Shunde's home-appliance factories.
The factories
Dongguan
Electronics, shoes, toys and packaging — the factory floor behind many Canton Fair booths. Where we check production and negotiate.
Electronics and tech
Shenzhen
Huaqiangbei's electronics markets, component and accessory suppliers, and the technology companies of the Greater Bay Area.
Small commodities
Yiwu
International Trade City: more than 75,000 booths of everyday goods — the place to fill a mixed container. A short flight from Guangzhou.

A host from home
A TGO team member from your market travels with the group; our China team meets you at arrivals.
Certification checked before you buy
We flag which suppliers already hold BIS, PSQCA, BPS or UAE approvals, so what you order can clear customs at home.
Landed cost, not factory price
We work out duty, tax and freight to your market while you negotiate — the price that matters is the one on your shelf.
After the trip
Samples consolidated, factories checked, quality control before shipping, and our market teams to help you sell it.
Visas
Your China visa, by passport.
Pakistani passports
A business (M) visa with the fair's invitation letter. We prepare the application pack and book your appointment at the visa centre.
Indian passports
A business visa with the fair's invitation letter, or a group visa when you travel with our group. Apply at least four weeks before you fly.
Bangladeshi passports
A business visa. For the 140th fair the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka made the fair's invitation letter the only mandatory document.
Philippine passports
A visa is required. Travelling with our group, a group visa through an accredited agency is the quickest route, with no personal appearance.
UAE, Qatar and visa-free passports
UAE and Qatar passports enter China visa-free for up to 30 days, as do many European ones. Living in the Gulf on another passport? Your passport's rules apply — we check.
Everyone: register for the fair
Online pre-registration is free and issues the invitation letter your visa needs. Bring the passport you registered with, and business cards, to collect your badge.
Visa rules change; we confirm yours before you book. Checked October 2026.
At the fair
What we tell every first-timer.
Book six to eight weeks ahead: visas take time, and Guangzhou hotel rates can triple in fair weeks.
Walk the halls for your category on day one; keep the serious meetings for days two and three.
Bring business cards, and photograph every booth card and price list — we log them with you each evening.
Alipay and WeChat Pay now accept foreign cards; we set them up with you before the fair.
Google and WhatsApp do not work on Chinese networks; roaming or an eSIM from home does. We test yours when you land.
Use the days between phases for factories. The best prices are agreed at the factory, not at the booth.
Metro Line 8 stops at the fair (Xingang East and Pazhou), but we drive you — you are never in the queue.
Questions
Asked before every trip.
Do I need a registered company?
No, but a business card and a clear list of what you want to buy make the visa and the meetings easier. Most of our travellers are importers, wholesalers, retailers and online sellers.
How early should I book?
Six to eight weeks before your phase. Your visa needs the fair's invitation letter, and hotel rates rise as the fair gets closer.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. Join a group departure, or travel privately with the same hotel, interpreter and factory visits.
What happens after I get home?
That is the part we are built for: samples, factory checks, quality control, shipping, customs and certification in your market, and selling through our distribution.
Do you work with banks and chambers?
Yes. We run private delegations for banks, chambers and trade associations that send their members, with a report for the organiser.
